CSSE 11+ Examination
CSSE EXAMINATION – 2026 ENTRY
The examination will take place on Saturday 20th September.
Registration will open o 13th May. Please check this website for updates.
The 2026 Entry Information Guide will be published on our website in April 2025.
Please read the information guide before registering for the examination.
The candidates will sit two tests. One in English and one in Mathematics. The English paper will last sixty minutes with ten minutes additional reading time. The Mathematics paper will last sixty minutes.

PLEASE NOTE: With effect from September 2024 (2025 Entry) the English paper does not contain Applied Reasoning questions.

The CSSE Office has no involvement in school applications or admissions. Please refer to your Local Authority and the individual school admissions policies for information.

The office will close at noon on 4th April and reopen at 9.30am on Tuesday 22nd April. The office is closed for all school holidays. Emails received during the closure period will be dealt with when the office is
open. Please do not send multiple emails as this slows down our response time.

Transport
Students wishing to commence travel from September 2025 can register from 1st March 2025 once they have a confirmed space at the school.
The CSSE Transport Office will be closed from midday on 4th April until 9:30am on 22nd April
The CSSE Transport Office is closed for all school holidays. No tickets will be despatched and emails received during the closure periods will be dealt with when the office is open.
